seeking wisdom, beauty and truth
Each individual is a unique and dynamic expression of the entire universe. The universe itself is expressed in each individual and through each individual. Similarly, the individual is the most basic component of the social organism, and the entire social organism is expressed through each individual. The individual is an organism in itself, a microcosm of the social organism and the entire cosmos. The individual is not a separate, autonomous, and independent being but rather an interconnected part of the organic whole, expressing the organic whole in turn.
In the social organism, the community is an expression of the individual as much as the individual is an expression of the community. This means the tribe is the self, and the self is the tribe—there can be no separation. Therefore, caring for one’s tribe is essentially caring for oneself.
Given that the universe and the divine are one and the same, each individual is a manifestation of the divine infinite source. Another way to express this is that each person is a manifestation of God. However, this concept is not limited to people; each planet, animal, tree, plant, and insect is also a manifestation of God. In fact, it’s not limited at all—everything physical is a manifestation of the metaphysical. Knowing and understanding this, living this reality, and allowing it to shape our thoughts and actions is empowerment. This has also been called enlightenment.
A fully enlightened society would be a society of empowered individuals living in an organic community. It would not be something radically different from what we have seen in the past. For instance, it would not be a pacifist society or an altruistic society, as these concepts are antithetical to nature. Being an empowered individual living in an enlightened society is not something odd or utopian; it is simply a healthy human existence, as nature has intended it to be.
With that said, we must also recognize that at every moment, we are fully established and can live as empowered individuals despite the state of society. It is through this approach that we can create a healthy society. Each individual should strive to become aware of their own worth and strength and strive to reach their potential. To become our ideal selves, we must first understand that in each moment we are exactly who we are supposed to be. We must be at ease with our own nature, which is the universal nature. This nature is never static, and thus our self-acceptance is not static, allowing us the confidence to grow to our full potential.
If we are too hard on ourselves, thinking overly negatively about ourselves, we will lack the willpower to change because we fail to see our own self-worth. Without recognizing our self-worth, we will lack the motivation to strive for greatness. We are all made for greatness. That some may reach higher levels of greatness than others is not a problem; rather, those who stand above provide inspiration to us all. Infinite energy is available to us at all times from our metaphysical reality if we make the effort. Therein lies great motivation.
If we lack the necessary motivation for self-improvement for our own sake, we can always look to the greatness of society for motivation, as all our efforts will benefit society. A great society does not come from self-sacrificing individuals but from self-empowering individuals. The individual is always and forever a part of an organic network of family and communities that composes all of society. This network creates the organic being of society.
In conclusion, understanding the interconnectedness of the individual with the universe and society empowers us to live authentically and strive for greatness. By embracing our unique expression of the universal spirit and recognizing our integral role in the social organism, we contribute to the creation of a vibrant, healthy, and enlightened community.
